About the Rodent Rescue

How It Started

My passion for and experience with rodents and exotics has made me top of mind when an animal needs a new help or a new home. Many of my own pets have been rescues and I know just how important a safe place with species-specific knowledge and care can be.

Our First Rehomes & Rescues

Fluffy Dahmer, a senior dwarf hamster with aggression issues was the first rodent in need of a patient and understanding home. Then came EVie, a Syrian hamster with nerve damage.

Starting The Rescue

Holly & Jingle were our first fosters and the inspiration for the Rodent Rescue. Rodents often get overlooked or dismissed because their lives are short or people fear them. I aim to change that and offer domestic rodents a safe place to recover and renew their lease on life.
